Stephen (goes by Scott) had it all….beautiful home, careers, amazing kids (17 and 13), community, friends, cute dog, each other and a bright future ahead. Then one day everything changed.
In April 2023 at the age of 53, Scott was diagnosed with glioblastoma-the most aggressive cancer. After a craniotomy brain surgery, followed by a prolonged 3 week hospital stay, we completed 6 weeks of grueling radiation to the brain + chemo and are now on a monthly chemo for 6 months as the battle onward continues.
They are doing otheir best to deal with this family crisis by loving each other and finding joy when they can. His wife made a wish for him to be able to go to a 49ers game. No matter how tired he is from chemo, he will muster up the energy to watch to 49ers play with his son and wife.
Scott is too ill to attend a game, so Stella’s Wish Foundation has arranged to provide a dinner out for the family.
Lindsey Weber is a 39-year-old mom of four kids who was diagnosed with breast cancer in February 2022. She was shocked to found out that what they thought was early stage, easily curable, invasive ductal carcinoma, was actually already stage IV.
Lindsay had finally gotten a position with room for advancement, just 3 months before she was diagnosed and now has not been able to move up the way she had hoped and planned for.
Lindsay made a wish for her kids to take some kind of short road trip with the whole family – to Branson maybe, so they can go to their first ever amusement park. She wants to drive slow and let the kids check out some of the beautiful scenery and have fun, to make memories that are special and will last.
Stella’s Wish Foundation has granted Lindsay a VISA gift card and hotel stay so that the family can go to Branson, Missouri.
